my camera leaves a lot to be desired. here is a close up of a slabed stone. if i did not know it i would think i was looking at a satellite map, lol

yes that is opalize SIO2 we are looking at. it is interesting that while the jasper was in its muddy state the sio2 inclusions filled in the mud as it was drying and cracking . realy very beutiful. an interesting note is that this deposit of sio2 measured 7.8 on the mohs scale. as hard as tungsten or hard steal or  topaz or , 
cubic  zerconia . i am sure there are those out there that will argure that this can not be.
